South Korea Plan For The Future !

                                       ~ ( My Opinion ) ~
    - I think South Korea will become a better country. If the police continue to do what they was doing to stop all the rally's and everything. Also if South Korea and North Korea get alone it will be better , it will be least war and least conflict in the country. Because all that is just pulling the country apart and one day they might need to fight together and go against someone else.

South Korea Church Council to be Sued for Sending Aid to North

http://www.christianpost.com/news/seoul-may-sue-south-korean-church-council-for-sending-aid-to-north-korea-50538/

This article is about Church Council did not receive government permission before sending $87,000-worth of aid support to a North Korean Christian group, they was not supposed to send anything to North Korea because they have not been getting alone. This is causing conflict between Christian groups wishing to send food and medicines north across the border, and the South Korean government. The South Korean government is now angry with the NCCK and plans to sue.

I think this is bad thing because even though their not getting alone doesn't mean the church cant feed the hungrey or help them out. I also think  its petty that they would even try to sue someone for something like that, churches are supposed to help others when needed. I wonder if they will even be able to sue for that.

South Korean Prostitutes, Pimps Rally Against Police Crackdown

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/17/south-korea-prostitutes-pimps-protest_n_863002.html#s279711

This article is about prosistutes and pimps protesting because police are trying to stop alot of prosistuting and all that other stuff. They had a big rally , their where women with face mask and body paint all over them. Their was really serious about this , they was so serious that some of the try to light their self in flames and pretty much kill they self  right at the rally. They wasnt able to do that because many others stopped them from doing that. Alot of people also got in disagreement and started pushing police. But nobody was injuried.
I think that this is a very bad thing , First its bad because people are actually still being pimps and stuff like that. Then its more bad that they was actually trying to take their own life because the police was trying to stop this and make it a better country. All the things they were doing was so uncalled for .

Lawmaker gets suspended jail term for sexual remarks

http://www.southkoreanews.net/story.php?rid=45677581

Kang Yong-seok of the ruling Grand National Party was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for one year for making lewd remarks to female collegians, a court on Wednesday. He will lose his parliamentary seat if the sentence is confirmed by the Supreme Court. Kang was indicted earlier this year on charges of making sexually abusive remarks during a dinner with dozens of female students from Yonsei University in Seoul, portraying female TV presenters as prostitutes. He did this after he had been drinking with friends.

I think that was very unprofessional for him to say and he deserve to be punished , he would'nt like if someone said something like this to his daughter or wife so he should have never said that to no one else. I think he should loose his job for saying something like that. I also think he shouldnt even been on tv if he was drinking right before.

Elite South Korean University Rattled by Suicides

This article is about in Daejeon , At the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology , and with final exams beginning Monday the school is still reeling from the recent suicides of four students and a popular professor . They really dont know what's going on and why are all these sucides are acurring at their school. They decided  making more counseling avaliable since all the sucides, may help some people not do that type of thing to their self.

I think this such a bad thing, It is no reason all these students should be killing their self and even a professor. I think the school need to maybe check some of these kids home life and talk to their parents more to see what's going on and why is this happening. I also think maybe bulling can be the problem so they should try to help stop that has much as possible. But I think its good that their starting more counseling because that can really help alot of kids with their problem.

South Korean island opposes plans to unleash pamphlet-laden balloons against North

South Korean soldiers sit on the top of K9 Thunder 155mm self-propelled Howitzers during a live-fire drill in Pocheon, 65 kms northeast of Seoul:

This article about a meeting of the heads of 18 districts in Baengnyeong island, came after the communist North issued a fresh warning that it would open fire at places wherever activists released helium-filled balloons carrying leaflets containing news of Arab uprisings and calling for the overthrow of the North's regime.  Pyongyang has threatened to open fire near the border. Tourists have stopped visiting the island after the North shelled another front line island in November last year in protest at Seoul's naval training near the  sea border in the Yellow Sea.

I think that they should not be going to war they are to close to eachother , They the same country just different sides. Instead of going against eachother they just be joining and fighting against somewhere else. This fighting stuff is so uncalled for .

Acupuncture needle removed from lung of former South Korean president

Acupuncture needle removed from lung of former South Korean president

This article is about a former South Korean president Roh Tae-woo, he 78 years old and has been in poor health since 2002 when he received surgery for prostate cancer. He was released from Seoul National University Hospital on Monday after surgery to remove the 2.6 inch needle. His doctors was confused on how that needle end up in his lungs. He had to got threw many different procedures , one was  penetrating the lung.

I feel like this is very wierd , I never heard of a person getting a needle stuck in they lungs. I sure he was in lots of pain just living with that in his lungs. I also know that it was very different for a doctor to get that out his lungs without messing up any things in his body.

South Korea’s Jobless Rate Declines to a 3-Month Low As Economy Recovers

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-05-10/south-korea-s-jobless-rate-declines-to-a-3-month-low-as-economy-recovers.html

This article is about the unemployment rate in South Korea fell to a three month low. The jobless rate fell to 3.6 percent in April from 4 percent in March and the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey of 12 economists was for a rate of 3.8 percent. An improving job market, combined with higher energy and food costs that are fueling inflation at home, may compel the Bank of Korea to raise its benchmark interest rate to 3.25 percent when it meets on May 13 .

I think its bad that people loosing jobs because thats gone cause more poor people. But I think as the econonmy improves job rate will rise back how it supposed to be. It will lower the rate of proverty .

Risk Factors for Long-Term Diseases Rise in South Korea

http://topnews.net.nz/content/214780-risk-factors-long-term-diseases-rise-south-korea

Risk Factors for Long-Term Diseases Rise in South Korea

This article is about the risk factors for disesases in South Korea , their talking about how the risk is risisng. Most of the diseases is heart disease, strokes and diabetes. The study was found by Kwang Kon Koh of Gil Medical Center in Incheon, who said that the main reasons behind disturbed metabolism among Koreans are junk food, watching more TV, and performing less exercise or physical activity.

I think they need more healthier food in their country that may help. Also they need people that will show them how bad the food they eating is for they body, like a doctor or something. But i think once they see people dying from these diseases that might make them slow down a little on these types of foods.

Dying woman denied flight finally lands in South Korea

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/43022135/ns/travel-news/

This is about a women named Crystal Kim dying of stage 4 breast cancer . She only had a few months to live. She has been trying to get back to her country for 5 days. At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport she and her daughter had been denied so many flights. The airlines wouldn let her on the planes because they was scared she might died on the plan , but luckly she had a doctors note to get her by , other wise she probably wouldnt made it back to her country.

I think its goods and bads to this situation, it was good they didnt let her board because she could've died on the plane and that probably could've caused them to get in trouble. But its also bad that she possible wouldnt ade it around her family before she would have died, she would heve died in a airport .

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/southkorea/8434916/South-Korean-school-cancel-class-over-radiation-rain-fears-from-Japan.html

Article Summary :

This article is about 126 school are closing in Gyeonggi and 43 other school are having shortened classes because of the japan radiationing leak into the air . But the prime minister's office says radiation levels in the rain are low and pose no health threat, they still was convince to close so many schools .
Reaction :
I think that they shouldnt close schools because actually school i keeping the kids inside. By them letting them out early is really not the saftest thing. Also kids still need a education even if this little stuff is happening . But i think they should keep a eye on everything just to make sure nothing is leeking in Korea.

South Korea Crucifixion Baffles Police

Polices has been finding all type of materials like hammer , nails and other things for these crimes, they found instructions and everything to do the crime too .
Reaction :
I think that it been the same person doing this to all these people , because its crazy that all these crimes near eachother and they all kinda the same. I also think that need to investigate more so they can make sure they get this man before he do somebody else like this soon. I wonder why is the person doing this and why is he making it look like what happened to jesus .

S. Korea conducts live-fire drill on Yeonpyeong Island

http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/news/2011/03/30/0200000000AEN20110330003200315.HTML

  Article :
South Korea's military started a live-fire artillery drill on Wednesday on a border island shelled by North Korea last November, officials said, the second firing drill since the North's bombardment that inflamed tensions. The firing exercise was started by marines on Yeonpyeong Island, near the tense Yellow Sea border with North Korea it started at around 9:30 a.m. and was scheduled to last for about three hours.

Reaction:
I think it was a bad for South Korea to have did this , They could've killed soo many innocent people. But North Korea did threaten them first so they kinda had a reason , but they also could have did something a little better then did that . I just think they sould have been the better people and did the right thing, and just waited to see was they really going to do what they said they was gone do . I think that because now this can cause a lot of problems between these countries and that is really not a good thing.

South Korean island opposes plans to unleash pamphlet-laden balloons against North

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/southkorea/8403432/South-Korean-island-opposes-plans-to-unleash-pamphlet-laden-balloons-against-North.html
       Article :
The decision, reached at a meeting of the heads of 18 districts in Baengnyeong island, came after the communist North issued a fresh warning that it would open fire at places wherever activists released helium-filled balloons carrying leaflets containing news of Arab uprisings and calling for the overthrow of the North's regime. Pier workers, all Baengnyeong residents, would refuse to unload the shipment from a cargo ship early Friday, including 200,000 leaflets, large plastic balloons and helium gas tanks needed to launch the propaganda, . Pyongyang has threatened to open fire with artillery in retaliation for any pamphlet distribution near the border. Tourists have stopped visiting the island after the North shelled another front line island in November last year in protest at Seoul's naval training near the disputed sea border in the Yellow Sea.

Reaction:
I think that this was not the right thing to do, You never threaten someone because you never know how they will take it . Some people take things serious and they might decide to start a fire . It was not even that serious to threaten them . I think they could have said something a little more peaceful and maybe they couldnt got what they wanted (Maybe).

Nearly 10,000 soldiers have been mobilised to clear roads.

  - Reaction:     I feel that its good that they finally found these people before they died . But I also think its sad that alot of people are still buried and might be died or dieing as they search. Another reason I feel this way because its plenty of people thats missing family members and they dont really have any clue where they at .

~ South Korean ship crew found safe after apparent attack ~

           Article:
The 20 crew of a South Korean freighter were found safe Thursday after locking themselves in a safe room during an apparent pirate attack. The Hanjin Tianjin was attacked by suspected pirates earlier in the day, but when a nearby South Korean warship hurried to the scene after being alerted, the officers found the crew unharmed. There was some damage done to the ship by the pirates'first and second attacks, Our crew stopped the engine to hold the ship and hid in the citadel (safe room) to protect themselves from the pirate attack. The company lost contact with the 75,000-ton, Panama-flagged container ship earlier Thursday when it was about 850 kilometres off the coast of Somalia, on its way from from Spain to Singapore. The crew consists of 14 South Koreans and six Indonesians.

  Reaction :
I think its good that they found all these people before they died or got seriously injured ,because I know they didn't have anything to eat or drink. Its also bad that they had to do this because of pirates trying to attack them .But i wonder how did the officers know that these people hid they self in this safe , because I know they didn't have any phones or anything to call .

                                                        ~SEOUL ~
       Article :
South Korea confirmed on Sunday new case of foot-and-mouth disease five days after it declared the end of the worst-ever outbreak that cost some $2.6 billion from last November to March. The agriculture ministry said six pigs at a farm in the southeastern city of Yeongcheon were infected and ordered the slaughter of the animals and emergency sanitisation measures around the area.
Other livestocks at the farm, like elsewhere in the country, have been vaccinated for past months and would not be culled, a ministry official said, adding officials were investigating the cause of the outbreak.
South Korea's worst-ever outbreak of the highly contagious disease saw about 3.48 million animals slaughtered since November.
    Reaction:
I feel that its bad that this trouble thing is happening to these animals and  all them are dying off from this disease. This is also taking away their foo sypply . I think if they really tried they could find a cure for this and save alot of these animals instead of just slaughtering them .

South Korea court upholds gay military ban

http://www.365gay.com/news/south-korea-court-upholds-gay-military-ban/

Article:
This article is about how South Korea made a new law that Homosexual behavior is illegal in their country. If you get caught showing homosexual behavior your punishment will be serviving up to one year in prison. This new law can not be called descrimination.
         Reaction:
I think this is not right that should not be able to put someone in jail for that long or at all , just because they don't like their sexualality .That can be the same as them taking someone to jail because they don't like their race. I still this is discrimination , even though they think it should not be called that .
